National Multifamily Housing Council
The National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) wanted to generate awareness around their 2015 Renter Preferences Survey, the largest-ever survey of apartment renters, with nearly 120,000 responses across the U.S.
Proof created an earned media campaign to position NMHC as a knowledge leader for the apartment industry, with a focus on consumer preferences nationwide. By reviewing the survey results and teasing out key messages, we created dynamic messaging for key metro markets selected to focus the media outreach for maximum impact. The unique data from each metro market was incorporated within an infographic, creating an engaging, attention-grabbing visual.
Media outreach resulted in more than 70 unique online and print pieces of coverage in venues that included top trade and business media, regional outlets and local news. The estimated coverage of earned media was more than 260K online impressions and an estimated 2.52 million print impressions resulting in more than 226,000 social shares. The Proof-designed the infographic used to articulate the complex findings of the 44 local metro areas received an Honorable Mention for the Complicated Concept Infographic Award in PR Daily’s 2015 Visual & Infographics Awards.
