Mike is an award-winning communications and media professional with over a decade of experience, and a firm believer that the best PR comes from confidence and leaning into what makes you unique. Before pivoting to strategic communications, he spent years as a journalist covering the Obama and first Trump administrations for outlets like USA Today and Bloomberg, as well as producing and editing for international and industry trade publications.
Based in Washington, D.C., Mike has led external communication strategy and public relations operations for organizations across the healthcare, democracy, trade, international affairs, and energy sectors worldwide. Organizations he’s supported include Public Citizen, Amnesty International, Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty, and Brady United. During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he helped train and promote journalists reporting under repressive regimes and early in his career worked alongside reporters in the Baltics.
